Educators will support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework. Early childhood educators work in long day care centres, family daycare, pre-schools or kindergartens.

Class days: Weekend
Assessment: Assignments and logbook
Practical placement: 420 hours within course period

Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) is the Sri Lankan state body responsible for the policy planning, regulation and development of tertiary and vocational education. MTIA is a registered Training Institution under the registration number P01/0708. The Certificate in Children’s Services is a registered course that is accredited to be equivalent to the NVQ 4 National Certificate Syllabus of “Child Caregiver”.

The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) is an independent statutory authority that assists governments in implementing the National Quality Framework for early childhood education and care throughout Australia. Since the Certificate in Children’s Services is on ACECQA’s approved list of Certificate qualifications, graduates can use this program to work in any part of Australia.
